A Good Feeling

Hi. Hello from my desk where I've been trying to write this post for more than an hour.

I've been home for the past 2 weeks spending time with my family- there have been cousins getting married, nieces being born, new members of the family to get to know and old ones to catch up with. Over endless rounds of piping hot tea, of course. In the tropical heat. Where the humidity always feels like 100%.

Anyhow.

The last few day of 2012 went by in a blur of weddings and family gatherings, and the few things that stand out in my mind are the house reverberating with the sound of squealing, hyper children; the way half the beach found its way into the house because of all the trips to the sea; and a gorgeous saffron infused tea my sister made one afternoon, post-nap.

And how pretty this tea party hosted by mum looked.
